Konohana Kindergarten

 At Konohana our curriculum is based on a thematic approach which uses a specific theme each week. This encourages a wide variety of classroom activities and stresses integrated lea r ning as the children relate to the themes and follow their progression from week to week. 

The teachers are free to design activities appropriate to the needs of their class, and are not bound to follow a detailed prescriptive curriculum.

Our curriculum offers a comprehensive and well-balanced program, which emphasizes the child's emotional, intellectual, physical, and social development. 
At Konohana we are concerned with the child's development on the following areas, because these skills are best learned before primary school when the focus becomes academic.
