Rechberg Scottish Dancers

Scottish Country Dancing has been practised in Scotland for a long time. Its origins go back to the 18th century. Thanks to the dedicated work of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, which was founded in 1923, this sociable dance form has, in the meantime, become increasingly popular among many other nations throughout the world as well. Its success can be attributed mainly to the exceptional beauty of the dance music, the great variety of interesting formations and dancing technique and, in particular, to the social nature of this activity. Scottish Country Dancing is aesthetic and athletic at the same time.
