Philosophy of Christian education
Lincoln School exists to assist families in the task of providing their children a distinctive education in which all knowledge is grounded in the Bible.
We believe that the purpose of education is to know God, His truth, and His creation in order to love Him, glorify Him and enjoy His presence (Deuteronomy 6:4). We also believe it is essential that students understand God´s intervention throughout history. While receiving their education, our students are being prepared to apply what they are learning in serving others and making wise decisions throughout their life (II Timothy 3:16-17).
The high academic level of our curriculum is generally recognized in our community. Critical thinking and communication skills, in both English and Spanish, are an integral part of our curriculum. The focus for teaching math and science is based on attaining skills and their application to every day life. Students are provided a strong base in computer technology from which they can develop further skills.
We understand the different stages of the physical, spiritual, emotional, cognitive, and social development of our students; thus we are prepared to help them grow (Luke 2:52). We believe that the development of each student's potential is of utmost importance.
We are thankful that the Lord has given us the opportunity to serve families whether they are Christian or not. Families are attracted by our strong English program and our biblically based Christian education. This gives us the joy of sharing the gospel as our students receive their formal education in a caring, multi-cultural, bilingual environment, from teachers who are committed to Jesus Christ. We are ready to share our personal testimony through academic courses based on a Christian worldview.
Lincoln School is committed to being a testimony in the city and an instrument for the improvement of our society by providing a Christian education for all those who come to us.
