The first Lithuanian ambassador to Ireland was Mr J. V. Paleckis who resided in London. The second ambassador to Ireland Mr. Aurimas Taurantas also resided in London. In 2003 Lithuania opened an embassy in Dublin. Ms. Izolda Bričkovskienė was appointed Ambassador to Ireland.
Since August 17th 2009 Mr.Vidmantas Purlys is Ambassador of Lithuania to Ireland.
The first Irish ambassador to Lithuania was Mr A. O’Brian. The next Irish ambassador to Lithuania was Ms Thelma Maria Doran who resided in Warsaw. The present Ambassador to Lithuania is Mr Donal Denham, who resides in Vilnius after an Irish Embassy in Lithuania was established in 2005
