KAIS International School

KAIS, a boutique international school located in central Tokyo, is uniquely designed to give students an education that is international, personalized, and creative. Our new international school was born out of the idea that students are not numbers, but unique individuals with unique needs and learning styles. Our students, a diverse mix of foreign students living in Tokyo and kikokushijo (returnees), represent myriad countries and backgrounds from around the world and help to create a truly international community. I frequently hear parents remark that they wish KAIS was around when they were in high school. This is the international school that is designed to give today's youth that opportunity.

All academic KAIS classes have a maximum of 10 students, giving each pupil unparalleled care and attention. Students are provided with their own MacBooks and build technological competency though multi-term projects, creative digital expression, academic blogs, and information gathering. They undertake rigorous academic as well as creative classes, which prepare them for higher education at top international universities. The vast majority of our students attend 4-year universities in the United States and Europe, while others choose one of the international universities in Japan or elsewhere. The dedication and extensive experience of our teachers, in addition to the diversity and leadership of the students influences the high standard of education and expectation at KAIS International School. Afterschool tutoring on campus and many student-led extra-curricular student clubs further support student success.
