Newcomer's Relocation Sweden

Newcomer’s is a relocation service company with offices in Stockholm. We assist companies that bring personnel to Sweden and offer a comprehensive range of services for expatriates relocating to Sweden as well as those leaving the country.

Newcomer’s Relocation was founded 15 years ago by Lena Rekdal and over the years we have assisted thousands of individuals and families moving to Sweden. The first Newcomer’s product was The Newcomer´s Practical Handbook for Sweden, which is being re-published in 2010, written solely for expats moving to Sweden. In order to best serve our clients we now also have a comprehensive resource guide on our website, which we update continuously. Our mission is that as soon as we discover something new that will enrich a client’s life in Sweden, we will let you know about it!

In January 2010 we were audited and awarded the premium EQS, EuRA Quality Seal standard.

At Newcomer’s, all relocation consultants have extensive personal experience of living and working abroad and we are certified by the Swedish Real Estate Commission. We are the only Swedish company that has qualified as a full member of TIRA, a high quality global network where Lena Rekdal has served on the board as the Regional Director for EMEA for five years, stepping down from that position in 2009. Newcomer´s is also a member of EuRA – the European Relocation Association and ERC – the Employee Relocation Council. We foundedSHRF, the Swedish trade organization where most serious companies in Sweden are members. Other memberships are AMCHAM; British-Swedish Chamber of Commerce, and Stockholm Chamber of Commerce.

Lena Rekdal founded Newcomer’s Relocation in 1995.The Newcomer´s Practical Handbook for Sweden, was published in 1995, 1996 and 1997 and will be updated and published again in 2010. She grew up in Tunisia, Sweden and Switzerland. She received a B.Sc at Skidmore College, US in 1988 and an MBA from Webster University in UK 1993 and has worked in both countries.
