Meridian International School (MERUKR)

Meridian School is a friendly and dynamic educational community where students are enthusiastically engaged and challenged in the learning process by creative, caring and skilled teachers.

Meridian International School, established in 2001, is a day school catering for children between preschool and 11th grades.

The school has received the recognition of The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine
for its Ukrainian program and offers all students the opportunity to follow the national curriculum, from the beginning of elementary school until the end of high school, with the opportunity to take the relevant exams when required. And MIS is a member of ECIS (European Council of International Schools)

Our school prides itself on its close knit family atmosphere. Mutual respect and tolerance are strong themes of the high-quality educational provision for our students and the school is open to all nationalities and embraces every aspect of multicultural diversity.

English and Ukrainian are the languages of instruction and the school follows The National Curriculum of Ukraine. The curriculum includes language arts, mathematics, science, technology, humanities, social studies, personal, social and physical education, computer skills, music and the creative arts.

The educational equipment and facilities are extensive and up to date, and include computer room, a modern library, science laboratories, theatre and art workshops. A full programme of sports and extra-curricular activities is a vital part of school life,including clubs, trips and excursions to different countries.

Meridian International School now enrols about 300 students. Currently the student body consists of more than 20 nationalities. Classes are generally limited to 18 or fewer students and are taught by a highly qualified faculty. The school provides bus services for students from different districts of Kiev.
