We are proud of the strong relations that UAE and Canada share, which began even before the union of the seven emirates into one federation, and extends into all spheres of mutual cooperation.

The UAE is pleased to witness the dramatic increase in trade activity, whereby our bilateral trade reached a record growth over the years that makes the UAE, Canada’s top trading partner in the Middle East and North Africa, with two-way trade exceeding $2 billion dollars in 2011. This is a record figure – never reached before in the history of our bilateral trade relations.
Additionally, our two nations each share in a proud multicultural population.  As in Canada, the UAE embraces our rich ethnic diversity, which we value, respect and celebrate. It is shared principles such as these, which further bind our two nations in our value systems and commitments towards global peace and humanitarianism.
