La Blanchie stands on its own at the end of a lane and overlooks a valley of pastureland and small woods. It is extremely peaceful and private. It is situated half way between Angouleme and Limoges. Everyday shopping is done in either Roumaziers (5km) which offers two supermarkets 2 chemists a post office several bars restaurants butchers and baker’s e, t, c there is also an English spoken doctor and dentist & vets. You will find really any shop you need. & small market on a Sunday morning. Chabanais also provides a supermarket as well as many shops bars and restaurants. There is a market on a Thursday morning.
In suris you will find hairdressers, church, post office a football stade and tennis courts. And of course us La Blanchie Camping which now has a bar and offers drinks snacks and meals to order.(booking recommended)
The village of La Peruse just (2km) has a baker and small general store and a hairdresser’s church and tabac bar/restaurant.
