Patterson & Stirling was founded in the 1860s as Patterson Metal Works and manufactured galvanized products such as pails and wash tubs. The company then became known as Patterson & Stirling. The business grew to approximately 80 employees, traveling as far as Florida and the East Coast. We manufactured the first coal furnace in the Erie area through a local foundry.
