Maxtrans began in 1978 as a small company focused on shipping antiques and works of art. The company quickly grew to become one of the Nordic region's leading shipping firms, with the bulk of its business deriving from artworks and antiques. Maxtrans is still today one of the Nordic region's leading shipping companies, the only difference being that the shipping of art and antiques is only one of our main areas of activity. We are still moving forward dynamically, and have clear ambitions to continue to grow. 

Our mission is to ship, store and package sensitive and valuable goods – worldwide. We are distinguished by our strong commitment, dedication and know-how, which meet our customer's needs down to the last detail.

Our most loyal customers include some of the world's leading auction companies, museums and art galleries. Our projects have also included hanging and accepting responsibility for entire exhibitions, both in Sweden and abroad. New customers in entirely different industries have come to us in recent years with totally different needs and desires. For some, we carry out actual installations for our customers’ customers.
