Tapestry Coffee, formally known as Mainstreet Coffee (2001 - 2022) was born out of a place of passion for the community and good coffee. 20 years, new ownership + name change later, we have that same passion and desire to serve our community for good. At our coffee shop in Lakeville, we promise to always serve beans ethically and sustainably.
In July 2022, we launched coffee roasting in addition to the shop. The decision to roast coffee came from a desire to make sure we had the highest quality coffee beans possible along with making sure that everyone along the coffee supply chain was treated well. We believe that the farmers who share our values of quality, environmental stewardship & dignified treatment of others, should be paid a premium price for their beans. Beyond the coffee beans, we work with amazing vendors near & far to source all ingredients. Being a Minnesota coffee roaster is something we are very proud of!
When we began the process of rebranding, we cycled through endless ideas of new names, and through ideation, we landed on Tapestry Coffee.
It’s a long process to make a tapestry… it’s hand crafted, there’s an incredible amount of patience and intentionality. It is artistic, beautiful, and there is something for everyone. It’s naturally inclusive, it’s romantic, it’s inviting, and above all it is constant and sustains.
Our hope for Tapestry Coffee is that there will always be intentionality behind it. We strive for an inviting space as a coffee shop where you can come to rest (or work). We promise to consistently serve a quality product, that backs the farmers, workers, and coffee beans behind it.
