France-Grande Bretagne legally comes under the « 1901 associations » status.
Membership is open to whoever is interested in things British, in the past and present of the United Kingdom.
With the aim of presenting a truthful image of Britain, as void as possible of either complacency or bias, the Association organises monthly lunchtime debates on topical questions with the best specialists as speakers. It also provides talks, visits to exhibitions and occasional trips to Britain on prepared themes.
This is completed by an annual colloquium gathering top British and French specialists on themes of mutual concern.
With 150 members currently, the Paris association is at the origin of a provincial network of some 30 societies, with 3,000 members altogether.
