The Society is a registered charity for the purpose of advancing the education of the citizens of Britain and Norway about each other’s country and way of life. The Society was founded in 1918. There is a sister Society in Oslo, the Anglo-Norse Society in Oslo/Norsk-Britisk Forening, with similar purposes. The membership in London is mainly British and Norwegian, brought together by a common interest in Norway. The Society is always pleased to welcome new members.
