Pylmon Languages

We strongly believe that the main engine when learning a language is the student himself. That's why we focus our teaching on awaking the innate qualities of each person to learn a new language. Our aim is to enable the student to actively communicate and interact in a wide range of communicative situations and contexts while they get to know the culture of our country. Pylmon Languages is a language school specialized in Spanish courses for foreigners. Apart from Spanish, we offer courses of English, French, Chinese, and Japanese. The school is located in Barcelona, only five minutes away from Plaça Catalunya, in a modernist building of late 19C, in the Eixample district, which has the characteristics of a square distribution, and where the most emblematic buildings of the city can be found. The school has eight air-conditioned classrooms, all with natural light, a conference hall, a free-access Internet room, a book/DVD library and a spacious room where you can meet your classmates and have a coffee.

The methodology used in Pylmon Languages is based on giving the students solid grammatical knowledge so that they can develop their communication skills, improving their linguistic performance in the business, personal and professional environment.In order to achieve this goal we have two different modules, each consisting of two lessons of 55 minutes: 1st Module.- Grammar and 2nd Module.- Listening/Reading comprehension and oral/written production. The number of students allowed per class is 6 (except in the high season, when we may assign a maximum of 8 people per class).

The courses start every Monday, all levels, and are available throughout the year.

Courses

• Intensive 10: This course consists of 10 hours tuition per week.
• Intensive 15: This course consists of 15 hours tuition per week.
• Intensive 20: This course consists of 20 hours tuition per week.
• Intensive 30: This course consists of 30 hours tuition per week.

All intensive courses include a weekly two-hour session of Spanish culture.

DELE : From Intermediate level. Available before the date of the exam.

Individual tuition : All levels. Both the content of the course and the schedule, as well as the starting date are arranged to suit your needs.

Extensive : This course consists of 3 or 6 hours per week.

Business 10 : Specific Business course consisting of 10 hours of Business Spanish.

Business 20 : This course consists of 10 hours of general Spanish and 10 hours of Business Spanish.Business Spanish courses last two weeks and begin on the first and the third Monday of every month throughout the year.

Activities : Knowledge is not acquired only in class. Therefore, apart from the lessons, the school offers you a series of cultural and leisure activities with the purpose of getting to know Barcelona and its surroundings. While practicing the language you will have a chance to meet the students from other groups as well as the teachers.We organize reception parties for students and celebrate popular festivals such as the Festival of Saint John, La Castañada, Easter, etc., combining them with cultural activities and events such as conferences, films in Spanish, guided visits to the most emblematic places in the city such as Park Güell, Sagrada Família, PicassoMuseum, Fundació Miró, etc.

We also organize periodic excursions to discover places of interest located in cities and towns near Barcelona, such as the Dali Museum in Figueres, the Sacred Mountain of Montserrat, beaches in Costa Brava, as well as visits to other cities in Spain such as Madrid, the capital, Valencia, Ibiza, or even to the Principality of Andorra, known as a paradise for skiing and for all sorts of winter and summer sports. We teach foreign languages to Spanish native students, offering you exchange possibilities as well.
