GADIR, Escuela Internacional de Español is a medium-sized school (of 50-60 students) in which pupils, teachers and organisers all know each other and call each other by their first name from the very beginning. Our main aim is to ensure that during your stay you learn how to speak, think and feel in Spanish.

GADIR is situated in an independent building in the district of the “Bahía Blanca”, only a few minutes away from the historic city centre and the beach. Our school has seven teaching rooms, a lounge, a library, a video-library, a garden and a patio, all for use by our students.

We offer Spanish Courses (Intensive, Superintensive, DELE Preparatory, Perfection Courses, etc.) during the hole year and our students can cose between living with an Spanish Family or in a shared flat. Our teaching method combines the usual study of grammar with debates, talks, role-playing situations, practical classes, etc. The classes, with a maximum of seven students each, are conducted entirely in Spanish from the very first day and guarantee not only an increased command of the Spanish language but also happiness and cordiality. We believe that a friendly atmosphere and teaching with a smile have as big a part to play in the classroom as the exercise books the students use.

To help us to attain our objectives, we employ a group of young teachers who have, nonetheless many years teaching experience in our school and who use our very own teaching methods which are constantly being revised. This is to ensure that our pupils are always taught in accordance with the most recent developments concerning the Spanish language and the practical aspects related to it.

GADIR is a Cervantes Institute Accredited Centre since 2003. An accredited centre is a teaching institution which the Cervantes Institute has expressly recognised as a centre which offers a high level of quality in all the services it provides, in accordance with the requirements and conditions established by the Cervantes Institute itself. GADIR is also recognized with the CEELE (Quality Certificate in the Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language) awarded by the University of Alcalá de Henares. This is the sign of quality guarantee for the Spanish Schools of Spain. GADIR, International School of Spanish, has had this certificate since it was established in 1998. GADIR is accredited by the Swedish body CSN (www.csn.se), and our Swedish students can obtain grants in order to study at GADIR. Also recognised as “Bildungsurlaub” by the Federal State of Hamburg.

As far as travelling and excursions are concerned, GADIR regularly organises trips around the province of Cádiz. Such trips include El Puerto de Santa María and Jerez de la Frontera (world-famous for their wine cellars), the “White Villages” (such as Arcos de la Frontera, Vejer de la Frontera, Medina Sidonia, Zahara de la Sierra etc.), the “Costa de la Luz” (from Cádiz to Tarifa and Gibraltar), the “Parque Natural de Grazalema” (with its pinsapos, the only Spanish firtrees in Europe) or the “Parque Nacional de Doñana” (the nature reserve of southern Europe). What is more, from Cádiz it is very easy to visit the main Andalusian cities (such as Seville, Córdoba and Granada) as well as neighbouring countries: Morocco and Portugal.
