Hi, I’m Heidi. I love sunless tanning and am passionate about making people feel good about themselves. Giving someone a sun-kissed glow always makes someone look and feel better, and that gets me excited! To really understand where I’m coming from we have to go back to when all this started.
I started in the tanning industry in 1999 in Plano, Texas working as a bed cleaner at a very popular tanning salon. I quickly worked my way up to assistant manager and realized the power of improving one's image. Well, to make a long story short I had twins and moved to the St. Louis Missouri area. Once I got back in the game I met some amazing entrepreneurs who gave me the privilege and opportunity to manage several tanning salons in the area. Many years of hard work, dedication, and learning, helped forge me into a better leader business-wise and even a better people person. It was during this time I began learning the art of spray tanning.
As the local tanning market waxed and waned my position as a leader shifted at times but my sunless skills were improving week by week and month by month. I soon was given an amazing opportunity to own my own tanning salon. It was a dream come true. I was able to expand my spray tan service.
Today it is still growing great. I am excited about the future of Custom Tanz and being an influential businesswoman in the beauty industry. Why? I feel empowered when I empower others.
