International Mental Health Services (IMHS) is the collaborative initiative from PsyQ and Brijder. PsyQ is the largest outpatient mental health organization in the Netherlands to offer psychiatric help to people who are depressed, anxious or suffering from other psychological or psychiatric disorders. PsyQ also offer help for marital and family issues. Brijder is the largest and most specialized centre for addiction and substance abuse in the Netherlands.
IMHS opened its doors in January 2013, and considers itself to be a truly international mental health centre. A professional and multilingual team of doctors and therapists are trained in the treatment of the problems that are most often encountered by expats.
In addition to English, several languages are spoken in our clinic, including Dutch, French and Spanish. All staff are personally familiar with the expatriate experience, and are officially registered professionals. In the past few years they have learnt that psychological problems in the expat community are quite common, that help is hard to find and that a specialised program to cater to these needs is dearly needed in The Hague.
