NHTV seeks to make a contribution to our globalising society by training young people to become responsible professionals in conjunction with the international business community. Furthermore, the institute aims to create a stimulating workplace for both students and staff, so as to enable them to integrate knowledge and skills, develop their talents to the fullest and apply these to society in a professional and responsible manner.

Education at NHTV challenges students to find their own way and offers students tailored support and knowledge they need to develop into professionals. Education is geared to the needs of both students and the industry: NHTV draws inspiration from the industry and from its students, but maintains ultimate responsibility for its curriculum content. Students are co-designers of their study programmes, because experience has shown that the ‘most exciting’ programmes are those in which students themselves take an active role.  

In its vision on education, ‘NHTV based learning', the foundation is made up of imagineering and cross-cultural aspects, internationalisation, and the role that NHTV has as a knowledge hub. All this is detailed out at academy level, both in terms of content and approach. Searching for the deeper truth, daring to ask questions, and innovating based on values (just think of sustainability or integrity). In a complex international context, students learn to look at implicit or explicit information from various perspectives.
