We are a dynamic school, eager to provide a positive and innovative learning environment that, upon matriculation, will ultimately prepare our students for successful on-going learning in universities and in future professional and personal pursuits. From pre-school through grade 12, our mission guides us. Developing compassionate, inquisitive learners prepared for global responsibility is the ideal that we strive to uphold each day. ASIJ’s Student Learning Outcomes provide further articulation of our mission as practiced in the classroom and in co-curricular activities.

Hailing from approximately 40 countries, the vast majority of our students and their families find themselves in Tokyo on temporary assignment. Our school community provides a multicultural haven, one rich in the arts, athletics, and academics. Classes are conducted in English, following a curriculum largely drawn from the United States. Our Japanese host culture enriches our school and provides opportunities for learning, both in language classes and through academic and experiential learning opportunities. Likewise, the many cultures and nationalities that make up

ASIJ provide chances to broaden and deepen our appreciation of the world in which we live.
We invite you to further explore our exciting school to see whether this might be the right match for your family. ASIJ’s teachers, arguably our greatest asset, focus on drawing the very best from each of their students every day. Our standards are high, and our students tend to thrive in their next academic environment after leaving us. I encourage you to browse our informative website for information about our facilities, programs, college placement records, athletics, arts, and off-campus learning opportunities.
