St. James' Primary School has been created with the same guidelines of St. George’s School, Quinta das Loureiras, Cascais, which has existed since 1960. It is a School where children between the ages of 6 and 12 are prepared for entry to English, American and Portuguese Schools.
A good standard of discipline will be maintained and this is supported by a system which promotes keenness, ‘esprit-de-corps’ and fellowship.
Small classes will ensure individual attention. Pupils will be taught both in English and Portuguese by qualified staff, their time being divided equally between the two languages and curricula.
St. James' Primary School was Officially Inaugurated by .the deputy Mayor of Cascais, the honourable Mr. Carlos Carreiras and the director of the British Council, Lisbon Mr. Jonathan Gaytner on the 4th December, 2007.
St. John's School is the main feeder school for St. James' Primary School. Located behind the ‘Jumbo’, it is a Junior School, for children aged between 2 and 5 years.
St. John's School is run by Dra Maria da Graça Corrêa de Oliveira Cardoso Moniz who, as is well known, has had great experience and success in this area.
