Sierra Bernia School is privately owned coeducational day school offering British education from 3 to 18 years to pupils of all nationalities. The school is fully authorised by the relevant ministries for both foreign and Spanish nationals. Founded in 1973, Sierra Bernia is situated in a quiet residential area close to the village of Alfaz Del Pi, with easy access to the main Benidorm/Altea coast road and also the A7 motorway.

The school's priority is to provide a happy working environment where children gain academic success. All teachers are qualified in their respective subjects. Following the traditional British system of education the curriculum is directed towards GCSE/iGCSE and 'A' level examinations. Spanish is taught at all levels as are the obligatory elements of the Spanish national curriculum.
Sierra Bernia is a recognised examination centre for both the London and Cambridge boards and proud of its above-average external examination pass rate. Attention is given to the needs of pupils who wish to enter further and higher education in other countries. In the past pupils have successfully gained college and university places in both Europe and the USA.

Facilities include a science laboratory, an art room, library, computers and two multi-purpose salons. There is adequate playground space for all ages, shaded areas, sports installations and an impressive cultural centre with library and a sports complex with grass pitches and swimming pool at our disposal in the centre of the village. Extra curricular activities are offered to all ages and pupils are encouraged to take part in school productions. Uniform is worn up to sixth form level, text books are issued on loan and there is a school bus service.
