The Hongqiao campus is conveniently located in the heart of Hongqiao's Gubei area and an easy destination from most parts of Puxi. The largest of the SCIS campuses, Hongqiao has a close-knit staff of close to 100 Western teachers and 15 Mandarin staff who are dedicated to educating the international school student. Three classroom buildings house our Lower, Middle and High Schools respectively and collectively include two gymnasiums, two beautiful and well equipped libraries and a wireless network environment across the campus.
Another building includes our Performing Arts Center complete with a 25 meter swimming pool, 750 seat theatre, and two level cafeteria. The Lower School building consists of over 30 purpose built classrooms plus gymnasium, library, computer and music labs, a performing arts area, as well as indoor play space. Our outdoor play space includes a full size soccer pitch with all weather artificial turf, an exciting, state of the art Kompan playground system and covered outdoor sports area for our high school students.
