Rainbow International School began in September 1991 as a Primary School with 29 children. In September 1995, the school moved to its present 9-acre site with newly constructed purpose built classrooms and administration block and extensive playing fields.
Since then, the student numbers have grown steadily and this has been matched by the physical development of the amenities and the expansion of the curriculum with a full secondary school programme up to A Level now offered.
Rainbow follows the guidelines of the British National Curriculum and employs teaching methods required to succeed in such a system.
The school is well resourced, allowing students to learn by means of investigation, experimentation and practical involvement. The experience of such practices is designed to enhance the student's knowledge and understanding of the subject and concepts involved.
Rainbow is the largest International School in Uganda. Soon it will be the largest International School in East Africa built on the solid principles of quality teaching, inclusiveness and tolerance.
With dedicated staff, high quality resources and excellent facilities Rainbow ensures every child achieves his/her potential.
This is achieved on a fees structure set well below most other international schools thus ensuring the school is truly integrated into the Ugandan Community with a high proportion of its staff and students drawn from the indigenous population.
