EtonHouse International (Main School)

EtonHouse International School and EtonHouse Pre-School are both situated on the one school site, 51 Broadrick Road on the East Coast of Singapore. EtonHouse International School and EtonHouse Pre-School are together authorised as an International Baccalareate Primary Years Programme World School. This World School status was granted in June, 2007.

There are approximately 500 children enrolled on the Broadrick site, with these children representing some 44 plus nationalities. The Broadrick Road address is in a quiet, leafy residential area adjacent to the Geylang walkway connector and canal. The recently opened Dakota MRT station on the Circle Line is a short 5 minute walk from the school site.

EtonHouse Pre-School accommodates children ranging from 3 years - 6 years of age in year levels of Nursery 1 to Year 1 (Kindergarten 2). All early years learning is inquiry-based and a collaborative enterprise between teachers and children, built upon the interests of the children themselves. Teachers and children co-construct the curriculum using the International Baccalaureate philosophy and the Inquire-Think-Learn education approach inspired by the Reggio Emilia project of Northern Italy. EtonHouse Pre-School seeks to provide stimulating, expansive learning opportunities to develop the maximum abilities of the whole child.

EtonHouse International School offers classes from Year 2 to Year 6 for children aged 6 to 11 years of age. The curriculum philosophy is inquiry-focused and trans-disciplinary, based upon pedagogy of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. The Literacy and Numeracy framework from the United Kingdom is also used as a curriculum reference. Students are encouraged to become active, compassionate, life-long learners who seek to create a better world through intercultural understanding and respect. The programs are academically rigorous in their learning expectations and challenge students to be become responsible members of their school, local and global communities.

EtonHouse International School offers a richly diverse curricular and co-curricular program that includes: a Years 5 and 6 laptop program, computer laboratory access for all, a well-stocked library, specialist art and music rooms, a large multi-purpose hall for dining and performance, and daily language classes in Mandarin, Hindi, Japanese and English as a Second Language. Also offered are Chinese Cultural classes, parents Mandarin classes, Pre-SAP immersion Mandarin, after-school academic and recreational clubs and sports programs on the extensive playing fields.
