Our School began its life in 1990 with a total of 46 pupils aged 2, 3 and 4, most of whom are currently studying at University and finishing their degrees.
As the school roll grew, the La Alberca facilities became too small for the numbers of pupils and so, in 1994, after months of searching and thinking, planning and building, we opened the first two buildings at the El Palmar site; Galileo and Lucy. Later on Newton was built. These buildings housed our Primary pupils who required more spacious facilities. Finally the Séneca building was added at the same site to cover the more specific physical and educational needs of Secondary and Bachillerato students.
As time has swiftly moved on and we have seen our children and pupils grow, the school has consolidated and enriched its educational programme at the same speed. The contributions and ideas of new members of staff coming on board each year have been decisive in the growth of the school's educational project.
A turning point in the school's history was its decision, in 1998, to open schools in Torrevieja and La Manga, thus broadening the student population to include nationalities and cultures which have enriched our school life enormously since then.
The development of the Torrevieja school led to the construction of the current site at Villamartin, San Miguel de Salinas. This is a project which has been widely recognised for being one of high quality and good responsible practise.
In 2007, El Limonar International School Montepríncipe was opened in Murcia. This new school is situated in the Montepríncipe area of Molina de Segura and takes Infant and first cycle Primary pupils.
