Welcome to the American Cooperative School of Tunis!
The students and families of ACST come from more than 70 countries and bring a wonderful international experience and perspective to the school. ACST’s students have an established tradition of hard work, varied interests, and a passion for learning. The school is a member of the Atlantic Mediterranean Activities Conference (AMAC) and our students participate in various competitions and activities with other member schools around the Mediterranean.
Excellent teachers are at the heart of outstanding schools. The teachers at ACST come from a variety of North American public and private schools as well as comparable international schools from around the world. They are committed to fulfilling the school’s mission and are desirous of the success of their students. They are talented teachers, writers, scientists, mentors, artists, athletes, coaches, and friends.
ACST is a private, independent school governed by a nine member Board of Directors that are elected by the members of the ACST Association. Parents are also actively involved in the school as part of the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).The school was established in 1959 by American Embassy parents and has enjoyed a close relationship with the US Embassy and Government for over 50 years.
