WHAT IS TOASTMASTERS?

Toastmasters International is a training and educational organisation which teaches it’s members communication and leadership skills. It is the largest and most successful organisation of its type in the world. Founded in 1924, there are now 16,000 Clubs in 149 countries worldwide.

WHO ATTENDS TOASTMASTERS?

Members come from all walks of life – from students to retirees.  The only restriction is that an individual must be at least 18 years of age to join Toastmasters.

As a member, you’ll learn and practice in a friendly, supportive environment with people who are there for the same reason you are – to develop their confidence and become better communicators!

WHAT RESOURCES DO YOU HAVE?

As a member, you’ll receive access to the Toastmasters educational program to guide you in your speaking development.

However, the greatest resource is the constructive evaluations and positive feedback you’ll receive from other members. As a Club, our role is to provide an enjoyable, positive learning environment to help you achieve your goals!

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO BECOME A CONFIDENT SPEAKER?

The Toastmasters Pathways Program is self-paced, so it all depends on your personal goals. At every meeting, you’ll perform different assignments which will help you develop your confidence and public speaking skills. You’ll introduce speakers, deliver prepared speeches, conduct the meeting, or one of many other roles.

You’ll improve by speaking regularly and with the positive evaluations and fun Club environment, your speaking growth will be an enjoyable experience!
