The Hague International Network was founded six years ago by The City of The Hague and The Hague Chamber of Commerce with the objective of regularly bringing together people from international business, the diplomatic corps, civil service, as well as local professionals in the international community and governments.
The purpose of The Hague International Network is to establish a social environment where a diverse international group of professionals can benefit by having the opportunity to meet, exchange ideas, discuss various topics of interest and develop new business contacts. The gatherings are not intended to be a forum for doing business or for the hard sell. Those who do this are discouraged from attending. The Hague International Network is a place for the international community to meet and develop relationships of all kinds.
This formula seems to be a success since the informal meetings of The Hague International Network enjoy an ever increasing number of participants. Meetings are held six times a year after working hours. During a session a guest speaker gives a presentation of about 25 minutes, after which questions are raised and the theme may be further discussed. Before and after the presentation drinks are served and lively discussions take place. The location of the gatherings vary being hosted by a company or institution in or around The Hague.
