We add a few other ingredients to the work that we do at Karma Cupcakes by bringing about awareness. We focus on the saying “You can give an individual a cupcake and feed him for a day, but teach the individual how to bake and they can feed themself for a lifetime”. In other words we prefer not to just donate money to community organisations but to offer practical assistance and fundraising options, so that people have the tools to help themselves, and in time, others.
