The American Chamber of Commerce France (AmCham) is France's primary Franco-American business platform, serving as a forum and representative body for US and French firms, professionals and associations with trans-Atlantic interests. It helps American companies integrate effectively into the French business community, allows French firms to build closer ties with American firms and US authorities. and helps its members understand the legislative and institutional framework in France, the US, and the European Union. Through strategic partnerships with similar organizations, AmCham has become a nexus for associations promoting trans-Atlantic understanding.
AmCham assists American companies wishing to invest in or trade with France, and French companies seeking similar opportunities in the United States. To this end, AmCham works with the US Foreign Commercial Service in France, the US Chamber of Commerce in Washington, the Franco-American Chamber of Commerce network in the US, and the Council of American States in Europe, as well as with various French and US government and private sector investment organizations.
AmCham supports increased regulatory and economic convergence and an open trade and investment climate between the US, France, and the EU. Our Task Forces arrive at common positions and launch position papers with the French government and the media, sometimes coordinating with the policy committees of AmCham EU and the US Chamber of Commerce, our parent organization which has access to the top levels of the US government. AmCham regularly hosts US and French Ministers, top CEOs and other policy makers for events, and its Directors are called on frequently by the media to discuss trans-Atlantic economic issues. In short, AmCham France is a major voice in the policy debate both in France and the United States.
