Danny Pettry offers a variety of self-study continuing education programs for recreational therapists online. The company was founded in 2006 when Pettry was doing an online search for continuing education unit (CEUs). There were several continuing education providers, but none of them were focused exclusively for recreational therapists. Danny Pettry decided to create a program, which may have been the first online self-study program for Recreational Therapists.
Danny Pettry has held Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) credentials since 2003. He earned a Master of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Indiana University (in Bloomington, Indiana) in 2006. Pettry earned his undergraduate degree in Park Resources with a focus in Therapeutic Recreation from Marshall University (in Huntington, West Virginia) in 2003. Pettry has provided Recreational Therapy services for children at a behavior health treatment center that is located somewhere in the two Virginia since 2002.
